The Employment Preparation Centre (EPC) has provided vocational rehabilitation services to people with disabilities since 1957. We link this educated and skilled segment of the population with the business community.
Our Employment Development Specialists assist businesses with human resource recruitment and meeting your hiring needs. We also assist participants in the development of pre-employment skills.
Employment Services diversifies workplaces by:
Matching suitable candidates to jobs by assessing specific workplace needs
Supporting Human Resource Departments in hiring, and accommodating employees with disabilities
Using work assessments to ensure a successful employer — employee match
Providing information on workplace modifications and/or accommodations
On-the-job training (e.g. wage subsidy) and on-site support based on individual training needs
Monitoring job placements to ensure continued success
The Employment Preparation Centre provides employment facilitation — an effective and hands-on employment support.
Employment facilitation may involve:
On-site / off-site support
Job Coaching / Skill Development
Problem solving job related concerns
Education re: job accommodations and/or modifications
Working together to build in the natural supports at a worksite
